The following Class Notes were received recently in the UW Oshkosh Alumni Office.

’72 Paul Anger (LS), of Detroit, will retire as editor and publisher of the Detroit Free Press after 10 years in Detroit and almost five decades of working in journalism.

’72  Lynne (Cardwell) Keasling (LS) and ’84 (MSE), of Corydon, Ind., was given the Indiana Historical Society Willard Heiss Award. She has compiled 20 books of Harrison County, Ind. genealogical records, which can be found in libraries nationwide.

’77 Danae Davis (LS), of Milwaukee, is the new executive director of Milwaukee Succeeds, a four-year-old citywide partnership aimed at improving educational outcomes for children.

’85 Gary Dodge, Sr. (LS), of Neopit, is celebrating 20 years as a lawyer and owner of Dodge Law Offices in June.

’87 Scott Boucher (LS), of Menasha, published a book called, When Goodness Finds You. He worked on it for 17 years. It is available on Amazon.

’88 Paula Steffen (EHS) and ’96 (MSE), of Mount Calvary, wrote a 26-page booklet, called A Purchasing Guide of Fruit Juice Sweetened Products, about healthier prepackaged snacks that offer fruit sweeteners instead of sugar. The booklet is available on Amazon and in various stores.

’90 Patricia (Zietlow) Miller (LS) and ’00 (MS), of Fitchburg, published her second picture book, Wherever You Go.

’91 Scott Stein (LS), of Menomonee Falls, was the runner up for WIAA State Soccer and for the third time, the All Area Journal Sentinel Coach of the Year for the varsity girls and boys soccer teams at Menomonee Falls High School. Scott’s wife, Kristin, is a sixth-grade teacher and helps with athletic events.

’92 Lisa De Sieno (MSE), of DePere, is the director of bereavement services at the Mayo Clinic Health System in northwest Wisconsin.

’94 Amy (Fricke) Weigel (LS), of Manitowoc, was honored with the Clipper City Chordsmen Harmony Award for creating harmony in Manitowoc County through her service to others.

’98 Luke Whitburn (LS), of Waunakee, is the vice president of GadellNet, an IT consulting firm headquartered in Madison that will expand into the Fox Valley and create 15 jobs in Wisconsin within the next 18 months.

’99 Michael Richart (MBA), of Appleton, is the director of business operations for Engineering Solutions Experts.

’00 Jason McKean (EHS), of Evanston, Ill., is the new assistant director of the Office for Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution at Northwestern University.

’02 Dana (Lesselyoung) Baumgart (B), of Appleton, was hired as a marketing strategist for Stellar Blue Technologies.

’05 Gale (Dobratz) Hellpap (LS), of Belleville, was named the community relations and marketing director for the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired in Madison.

’06 Jessica Michels (N) and ’11 (MSN), of Fond du Lac, is a nurse practitioner in the cardiology unit at Agnesian Healthcare’s Fond du Lac Regional Clinic.

’09 Steven Miller (B) and  Elizabeth (VanLanen) Miller ’09  (N), of Oakland, Calif., married in 2013 and moved to the San Francisco Bay-area, where Steve joined Centrify Corporation, a software company in Silicon Valley. Elizabeth is finishing her master’s in science of nursing degree to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).

’11 Erin Rickard (B), of Cedarburg, was promoted to field claims representative for Acuity.

’12 Tyler Felton (LS), of Menasha, is a support consultant for Ledgeview Partners, LLC.

’13 Matthew Dykstra (LLCE), of Stevens Point, is the new emergency management director for Portage County.

’13 Samatha ‘Sam’ Zinth (MS), of Menasha, was hired as the executive director for Day by Day Warming Shelter.

’15 Michelle Murray (B), of Waunakee, was promoted to assistant adviser at Mersberger Financial Group.

’15 Larry Wright (MBA), of Appleton, was promoted to vice president of claims for Secura Insurance.
