The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Student Nurses’ Association is sponsoring the 90-minute “The American Nurse” documentary showing in the Reeve Memorial Union Theater, Room 307 on Wednesday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m. and two showings on Friday, May 8 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Admission is $5 for students (the first 60 students receive free admission) and $10 for the general public. Proceeds from the film will be donated to The American Nurse Foundation scholarship fund and to the UW Oshkosh College of Nursing to support student activities and scholarships.

“The American Nurse” documentary explores the role of nursing in the most vulnerable moments of  the human experience. This film gives a voice to nurses who are on the front lines of the biggest issues facing America—poverty, again, war and justice. The film has received accolades from the White House, the American Journal of Nurses and national media, such as PBS News Hour, The New York Times and USA Today.
