The Boy Inside (dress rehearsal)

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh kicks off its spring semester theatre season Feb. 18.

The Boy Inside, written and directed by UW Oshkosh’s own Richard Kalinoski runs Feb. 18 through Feb. 22 at the Fredrich March Theatre.

A synopsis of The Boy Inside: Head football coach Tony Bartolo is having his best season ever and Ramsey College’s best season in its 98-year history. College President Helene Kingston-Barrows takes a sudden interest in football and shares a profound secret with Bartolo about the future of the college and the football program. The secret leads the fiercely competitive coach to a reckoning about the meaning of football and the meaning of the sport itself.

Ticket prices are $14 for general, $11 for senior citizen or alumni and $5 for UWO students with ID; tickets may be purchased at the box office, which will be open the week of the productions Monday-Friday, Noon-4 p.m. and evenings of performances 6 until 7:30 p.m. Sundays the box office will open one hour before show time.

A synopsis of O Pioneers: Alexandra Bergson inherits the family farm after her father dies. Through harvest, drought and poverty she struggles to carve a home and a fortune from the windswept prairie all while keeping her three younger brothers together until they are ready to stand on their own. In the process, she makes a place for herself in a male-dominated, early 20th century community through her intellect and strong will.
