The following Class Notes were received recently in the UW Oshkosh Alumni Office:

’63 Robert Hruska (EHS), of Gillett, was honored by Nicolet Oconto Retired Teachers Association (NORTA) for 20 years of membership at Romy’s Holiday Inn.
’69 Tom Henricksen (LS), a consultant geologist for Coeur Mining (Inc.) is carrying out a mineral exploration. Also, he owns his own company, Plan B Minerals.
’70 Michael Tomczyk (LS), of Phoenixville, Pa., has retired from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He will continue his involvement as innovator-in-residence at Villanova University, working on projects related to innovation and emerging technologies.
’71 Leland Bosdeck (EHS), of Shawano, retired seven years ago from Schneider National and now volunteers with the Knights of Columbus.
’71 Robert Wolfe (EHS), of Kingsford, Mich., was inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in July 2014.
’73 Charles Bongers (LS), of Appleton, is a veteran mentor for Volunteers in Offender Services, which assists with the rehabilitation of criminal offenders, in Outagamie County. Bongers is a U.S. Navy veteran, and he served 15 years as the vice chairman for the Grand Chute planning commission.
75 Joyce Smudde (EHS), of Kaukauna, has retired from Saint Nicholas School after 43 years of service in education.
’77 Ken M. Schmidt (MBA), of Waupaca, has become a new board member of Community First Bank.
’79 Deborah (Terrones) Wallendal (LS), of Waukesha, was appointed interim president of Waukesha County Technical College.
’84 Joye Moon (LS), of Oshkosh, presented her watercolor paintings in August 2014, at the Thrasher Opera House. Her paintings will remain on display through the end of September.
’88 Ted Wahoske (B), of Manassas, Va., was appointed as chief of the Air Force Budget Execution Branch in June 2014.
’91 James Totzke (B), and ’11 (MBA), of Appleton, is the new vice president of operations for Faith Technologies.
’93 Wendy (Beierle) Haase (LS), of Long Beach, Calif., received the Certified Destination Management Executive designation, which is the highest educational achievement for destination management professionals.
’93 Laina (Gallenberg) Zakrewski (N), of Junction City, a registered nurse at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, took a vacation to Wisconsin Farm Technology Days 2014 in Portage County, which is the largest agricultural show in Wisconsin.
’01 Julie Piton (MBA), of Greenville, is the new manager of financial and information technology operations for Faith Technologies.
’02 Jonathan Weir (LS) and ’03 Jacqueline (Klinzing) Weir (LS), of New Holstein, have a new son, Jensen James, born Aug. 5, 2014, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Jensen has a big sister, Josie, age 2.
’05 Sean Halverson (LS), of Stockton, Calif., is a history professor at San Joaquin Delta College. He received a master’s in history from the UW-Milwaukee (2006) and a doctorate in early U.S. history from Mississippi State University (2013).
’07 Chin-Feng “Dani” Lai (MSN) and ’14 (DNP), of Stevens Point, received a doctorate of nursing practice degree from UW Oshkosh. She also received the Clow Social Science Award for her master’s degree research project.
’10 Ann Stanton (N), of Manitowoc, is pursuing a doctorate at UW-Milwaukee, with a focus on mental health and priority populations.
’14 Don Klitz (LS), of Markesan, has been hired as the new fitness manager by Centre in the New Richmond area.
