Julia Jalovec, transcript operations manager for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Registrar’s Office, has been named the recipient of the July STAR Award.

She was nominated by Debbie Sarna, Administrative Assistant for the Registrar’s Office.

Portions of Jalovec’s nomination follow:

“Julia is an extremely dedicated, detail oriented and valued employee. She cares about the reputation of our institution and is “committed to upholding data integrity and university policies while efficiently servicing students and supporting the mission of the university.” (Registrar’s Mission Statement)  She was a major participant in implementing the Early Alert Program, which tracks and assists students that may be struggling academically.  Julia maintains a high level of professionalism in her daily interactions with all students and staff.  She is both creative and innovative, providing excellent customer service to students, alumni and staff.

“She is a very loyal and respected employee, and treats everyone fairly. If a student is disgruntled and the problem is not with our office, she will always take the time to direct him/her to the correction department.  Julia has eagerly volunteered to add to her duties Image Now Administrator in the Registrar’s office.  She took several days from her normal office work to attend on-campus seminars.”
