Midyear Commencement, Dec. 14, 2013Soon-to-be University of Wisconsin Oshkosh graduates are invited to an Almost Alumni Lunch Tuesday, May 6 in the new Alumni Welcome and Conference Center.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., students who will be taking part in the May 17 commencement ceremonies are invited to stop by the AWCC, located at the corner of Pearl Avenue and Wisconsin Street, to grab a free lunch, explore the new facility and meet alumni staff members.

“The Almost Alumni Lunch honors the hard work of our newest alumni and showcases the many benefits and services for which they are eligible as UWO graduates,” Alumni Director Christine Gantner said. “We also want introduce them to their amazing new home away from home in the AWCC and to the alumni staff and volunteers who are dedicated to helping them maintain a lifelong connection to their alma mater.”

At the lunch, sponsored by the UW Oshkosh Alumni Association in partnership with University Books and More, the students can grab a quick sandwich and enjoy a scoop of Culver’s Titan Crunch frozen custard. They can also register to win alumni gear or a diploma frame.

All UW Oshkosh alumni are eligible for a free email account, insurance discounts, travel opportunities and more.

The new Alumni TitanCard, which will be available at half-price for $5 during the event,  offers additional benefits, such as a bigger discount at University Books and More, special pricing for tickets to Fredric March Theatre performances and free admission to select UWO athletic events.

All alumni are encouraged to stay connected to their alma mater online.
