One University of Wisconsin Oshkosh graduate is making her mark by knowing about a lot of strange things. Linda Godfrey, ’76, will share her knowledge of the werewolf mythology during the Jan. 23 episode of the History Channel’s Monsterquest series. The show is based on Godfrey’s book, “Hunting the American Werewolf.”

Godfrey worked on both writing and production and also appears in the episode. Her artist son, Nathan, provided historical illustrations for the show.

She also recently published her sixth book, “Strange Wisconsin-More Badger State Weirdness.” It was released last October from Trails Books, Madison.

Godfrey also has written two books for Barnes & Noble Publishers: “Weird Wisconsin – Your Travel Guide to Wisconsin’s Local Legends and Best Kept Secrets” and “Weird Michigan-Your Travel Guide to Michigan’s Local Legends and Best Kept Secrets.”

Godfrey has two other books coming out this year and next with a New York publisher, and is working on “Strange Michigan for Trails.”
