An open house will be held Friday, April 18 from 3 until 6 p.m. to celebrate the 48th anniversary of WRST-FM.

The station is located on the fourth floor of the Arts and Communications Center, on the corner of Vine and Elmwood on the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus. Tours of the radio station will be given and refreshments will be available.

Regular jazz and news programming will continue during the open house, and WRST staff members will be present to answer questions.

The station debuted April 20, 1966 with a program schedule of four and a half hours per weekday, and was the first FM station in Oshkosh. It now operates 24/7 with student-produced programming and content from Wisconsin Public Radio. WRST is the only alternative station in the Oshkosh area, providing music not heard on any other station in the region.  The station also offers award-winning news and sports programming.

The station can be heard on 90.3 FM and online at www.wrst.org.

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to contribute calendar items, campus announcements and other good news to UW Oshkosh Today.
