The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Business Success Center is offering three training opportunity workshops– Mobile App Development, Design Basics for Business and Web Video Basics.

All workshops begin in June.

The first training, Mobile App Development, will be held June 2-5, 2014 at UW Oshkosh in Sage Hall. This training gets you up to speed with iOS and Android by learning how to develop, test and deploy mobile apps. It will consist of more hands-on time to create real-world apps on both platforms, giving participants the versatility and knowledge to start creating their very own apps.

Mike Eierman and Jakob Iversen, both University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Business information systems faculty members, will lead the Mobile App Development workshops. With their professional expertise, participants are only a class away from developing mobile applications.

Second, Design Basics for Business will be held June 10-11 2014 at UW Oshkosh in Sage Hall. This workshop will teach participants how to create their own marketing materials or become more proficient at Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.

Covering topics from graphic design and typography to the application tools of the software, Kevin Rau, former design director of New Jersey’s Fairleigh Dickinson University and owner of his own design studio, will be sharing his top-industry expertise to lead this training.

Finally, the Web Video Basics  will be held June 17-18, 2014 at UW Oshkosh in the Frederic March Theatre. This workshop is geared toward teaching the ins and outs of Web video including basic camera and video editing technique, composition and lighting, how and where to post Web videos, and tips to finding the right audience.

Leading the workshop are Andrew Smock, assistant professor of digital media at UWO with a Master of Liberal Studies in Communication and a Ph.D. in Media and Information Studies, and Justine Stokes, the Director of Television Services at UWO with more than 15 years of experience directing and producing television, short films and documentaries.

All workshops are open to the public.  For more information or registration details, please visit the  UW Oshkosh Business Success Center website , call (920) 424-0833 or email at bsc@uwosh.edu.
