Flags will be flown at half-staff at UW Oshkosh from sunrise to sunset through Monday, Jan. 7, as a mark of respect for former Governor Lee Sherman Dreyfus, who died on Jan. 2. Dreyfus served as the 40th governor of Wisconsin from Jan. 4, 1979 to Jan. 3, 1983. Prior to his election, he also served as a member of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Board of Regents and Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Gov. Jim Doyle has directed that all U.S. and Wisconsin flags be flown at half-staff at all state buildings, grounds and military installations.
