Studying abroad is generally a once in a lifetime opportunity.

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh students who may be interested in that opportunity should take advantage of the 2014 Spring Study Abroad Fair, which will be held in the Reeve Memorial Union Ballroom on Feb.6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fair will include exhibits of the study abroad programs offered at UW Oshkosh and information from third party providers offering opportunities for students. Experiences from fellow students and faculty advisers will be also shared during the event.

“The Study Abroad Fair is the one event where all study abroad opportunities and related resources available at UW Oshkosh are represented, including faculty leaders, exchange universities, partner companies, other UW universities, financial aid representatives and Office of International Education office staff,” said Mary Reinke, student services coordinator in the UW Oshkosh Office of International Education.

People who can discuss financial aid and scholarship opportunities will also available at the fair. Once the financial part is figured out, students have numerous choices from more than 80 programs, most of which are taught in English.

“It’s is the perfect chance to get an overview of options and then begin to narrow it down to the program that is right for you academically and financially. It’s a fun, casual event where you can browse at your own pace, ask all the questions you want and begin your early planning of where and when you will study abroad. We hope to see you there!” Reinke said.

Students can stop into the Office of International Education, which is located in Dempsey 202, any time during business hours if they have any questions or contact Reinke at reinkem@uwosh.edu or Neal Corby at corbyn44@uwosh.edu.
