Cindy Fruhwirth

Cindy Fruhwirth, Academic Advising, will attend the National Academic Advising Association Conference in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., Oct. 3-6, 2010. She received support through the Faculty Development Program’s academic staff component.

Debbie Matulle, formerly the University’s bursar, has accepted reassignment to academic planner, a new academic staff position. Reporting directly to Assistant Vice Chancellor Worm, Matulle will direct the development and management of the University’s Cost Recovery Programs and University-wide Lean initiatives.

Kelly D’Agostino, formerly serving as the University’s internal auditor, has assumed the role of interim bursar and will manage cashiering, student billings and student loans.

Michael Ford

Michael Ford, a professor in the College of Education and Human Services, will deliver the keynote address at the 2010 Chiwaukee Academy, Aug. 9-13, at UW-Parkside. His speech is titled “Moving from ‘most and much’ to ‘all and every’: Exploring issues and ideas to reach all readers in classroom literacy programs.” Read more in the Racine Journal Times.

UW Oshkosh student Benjamin Jaworski was among 250 hand-picked band and choir students who participated in a two-week Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music Program tour of several European countries, including Austria, England, France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. Read more in The Northwestern.
