The following Class Notes were received recently in the UW Oshkosh Alumni Office.

’70  James Pabian (EHS), of Spring Green, has been doing war reenactments as General Edward Ord since he was 13 years old.  General Ord commanded an army during the final days of the Civil War and designed Fort Sam Houston.

’72 Melinor Koneman (LS), of Winneconne, has opened The Pub Applewood BBQ Grill in downtown Winneconne.

’85 Gary Dodge (LS), of Neopit, has owned Dodge Law Office in Shawano for more than 18 years.

’85 Scott Martin (EHS), of Las Vegas, Nev., has published his first book titled Moving Forward In Reverse.

’86 Brian Nelsen (EHS), of Green Bay, is the new principal for Ashwaubenon High School.

’89 Thomas Pamperin (B), of Marion, was elected chair of the Wisconsin Bankers Association for 2013-2014.

’91 Tim Kramer (LS), of Monmouth, Ill., moved from upstate New York to the Midwest and  started his own business as an independent producer, editor and videographer.

’93 Brian Kargus (LS), of Marietta, Ga., joined CNN as a sports producer based out of the Atlanta Headquarters.

’94 Kenn Peters (LS), of Austin, Texas., is the new principal at Katherine Anne Porter School in Wimberley, Texas, after teaching for 15 years.

’00 Jamie (Smith) Ceman (B) and ’11 Todd Ceman (LLCE), of Neenah, owners of Dublin’s Irish Pub in Oshkosh plan to have a second location in the West Bend community by October.

’00 Kelly McNiff (LS) and ’04 (EHS), of New Franken, is the new assistant coach for UW Oshkosh’s women’s basketball.

’04 Christopher Mohr (LS), of Appleton, is the Wisconsin National Guard’s first Buddhist chaplain and also a first lieutenant assigned to the 32nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion.

’05 Alissa Brooks (EHS) and ’09 (MS), of Sun Prairie, is the preschool director at Parents Cooperative Preschool in Fort Atkinson. She also is a part-time instructor for early childhood education at Madison College.

’06 Kelly (Cole) Shafaie (N), of West Bend, graduated with a master’s degree in nursing education. She is working full-time as a nursing instructor at Moraine Park Technical College and part-time as a staff nurse at Community Memorial Hospital in Menominee Falls.

’06 Lauren Young (EHS), of Agoura Hills, Calif., earned her master’s degree from Purdue University in educational administration and leadership.

’09 Ryan Hennig (MBA), of Oshkosh, is the new director of marketing for Brownells, the world’s largest supplier of firearms accessories, ammunition and gunsmithing tools.

’09 Robbie Hinz (B), of Clayton, Mo., earned a law degree from Saint Louis University in 2012 and is an attorney for Mercy Health.

’10 Patrick Detmer (EHS), of Lodi, is the new wrestling coach at New Berlin West and Eisenhower High Schools.

’10 Mariah Haberman (LS), of Oregon, is co-hosting the television tourism show,  Discover Wisconsin, which kicks off its 27th season in November.

’10 Brian Vollmer (B), of Menomonee Falls, began a new career as an account manager at Direct Supply.

’11 Joseph Dhein (LS), of Richfield, has returned to his alma mater, Germantown High School, to be the assistant wrestling coach.

’11 Kris Windorski (MS), of East Lansing, Mich., is pursuing his doctorate in higher, adult and lifelong education at Michigan State University.

’12 Jason Onken (LS), of McFarland, a police officer for the McFarland Police Department, helps organize such programs as the Bike Rodeo.

’12 Cassandra Sendra (B), of Krakow, joined GreenStone Farm Credit Services as an associate tax accountant.

’13 Joshua Kilgas (EHS), of Appleton, has been named a resource development officer for United Way Fox Cities.

’13 Johnathon Weisse (LS), of Brookfield, interned with Peninsula Players, one of America’s oldest professional resident summer theaters.
