The following announcements were supplied by the Office of Grants and Faculty Development:

  • Jupian Leung, COEHS, will attend the Third Biennial Conference on Brain Development and Learning, June 16-20, 2010, in Vancouver, British Columbia. Leung received support through the Faculty Development Program’s off-campus component.
  • Nathan Gump, Counseling Center, will attend the MAP-Works Summer Workshop in Springfield, Mo., July 12-15, 2010. Gump received support through the Faculty Development Program’s academic staff component.
  • UW Oshkosh received $75,000 from UW System for “Graduation Project Stage 2 for Working Adults.” Ruth Freiburger, Adult Nontraditional Student Resource Office, is the project director.
  • UW Oshkosh received $47,914 from UW System under the ARG-WiTAG program for “High-Performance Electrical Energy Storage (EES).” Charles Gibson, chemistry, is the project director.
  • UW Oshkosh received $2,000 from the UW System Institute on Race and Ethnicity for “From Michoacan to Menasha: Borders, Dreams and the Educational Journeys of an Extended Mexican-American.” Donald Hones, COEHS, is the project director.
  • UW Oshkosh received $1,200 from Primate Conservation Inc. for “Behavioral Flexibility in Fruit-eating Primates: Coping with Scarcity in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.” Stephanie Spehar, anthropology, is the project director.
  • UW Oshkosh received $2,100 from the UW System Institute on Race and Ethnicity for “Korean Female Immigrant Incorporation and Health Service Utilization.” Juyeon Son, sociology, is the project director.
