The entire University of Wisconsin Oshkosh community is invited to leave a legacy as an integral part of the new Alumni Welcome and Conference Center on campus.

“Personalized brick pavers will adorn the center’s riverfront patio and serve as a permanent reminder of our shared Titan pride,” said UWO Alumni Director Christine Gantner. “Remember loved ones, honor friends, family members or your favorite student by purchasing a paver to be embedded in the patio. We need your help as we pave the way for the new Alumni Welcome and Conference Center.”

Pavers—available in two sizes—that are ordered by June 1 will be in place for the building opening. Orders received after June 1 will be accepted for placement in the patio at a later date.

In January, Miron Construction began work on the Welcome Center at the corner of Wisconsin Street and Pearl Avenue. Once open, the facility will serve as UW Oshkosh’s new front door.

The 40,000-square-foot, privately funded and donor-supported center will serve as a landing spot and home for returning alumni, campus visitors and guests and as a hub for community, corporate and student events.

The Welcome Center, which will provide a 30-percent increase in large-group campus meeting space, should be ready to hold events in spring 2014.
