mentorStudents are invited to the first University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Alumni Mentor Link-Up on March 5 from 5 to 6 p.m., following the Career Fair on the Fox.

Students and recent alumni will have the opportunity to learn more about the University’s Mentor Network on LinkedIn and to meet and interact with successful alumni at the reception at Pollock Alumni House, located across the street from Albee Hall.

“Since many students will already be in professional development mode from attending Career Fair on the Fox on Tuesday afternoon, we thought it was the perfect time to invite them to Pollock to learn more about what we offer related to relationship-building with our successful alumni,” said UW Oshkosh Alumni Director Christine Gantner. “This is our first in-person event related to the Mentor Network, but students should know that they can connect with alumni all over the nation and the world online through LinkedIn.”

The Mentor Network combines the knowledge and experience of the University’s alumni with the power of a professional networking tool to help students and alumni alike reach their career goals.

The Mentor Network, a subgroup of the UW Oshkosh Alumni group on LinkedIn, offers a platform for networking and career development opportunities.

More than 85 million professionals worldwide use LinkedIn to exchange information, ideas and opportunities. Many UW Oshkosh alumni and students find that having a LinkedIn account is a valuable resource for learning about career opportunities and gaining professional contacts.

RSVP (preferred but not mandatory) for the event by sending an email to alumni@uwosh.edu.
