At the Dec. 11, 2007, meeting of the Faculty Senate, Nathan Gribowski reported on the activities of OSA, Lynn Freeman reported on SAS and Jim Simmons reported on the Faculty Representatives meeting.

Elections Committee Chair Lee McCann reported that the faculty referendum to endorse an intercollegiate reorganization amendment to the University’s constitution had passed by a large electoral margin.

The Senate approved the Spanish 331 course and the bylaws of Foreign Languages & Literatures, the Graduate Council, the University Honors Program, COEHS, Curriculum and Instruction, and Chemistry. Senators endorsed the Shared Governance Principles and Guidelines.
