Randy Hedge, director of Reeve Memorial Union, and Gail Steinhilber ’65, a retired UW Oshkosh associate art professor, present the painting “Portrait of the Elephant” by LeRoy Neiman outside of the Gail Floether Steinhilber Gallery in Reeve Union. Steinhilber donated the piece as a memorial to her husband, Jack Steinhilber, a former student and friend of the University who passed away in May. From 1966 to 1996, Gail Steinhilber coordinated more than 400 art exhibits at the Union.
