It’s a chance to meet and discuss works with the artists who participated in one of downtown Oshkosh’s most vibrant summer showcases of University of Wisconsin Oshkosh-based and regional artists’ works.

“Artalk at The Triennial” opens at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 217 N. Main Street – home of the Oshkosh Gallery Walk “Triennial” exhibition. The regional exhibition of work by artists from the tri-county region was one of the most successful in the city’s downtown Gallery Walk showcase of artwork this summer.

Many of the original exhibiting artists will participate in the Oct. 10 discussion. It will also feature members of the UW Oshkosh Department of Art faculty, staff and students.

Members of the ArtSpace Collective, other Winnebago, Outagamie and Fond du Lac county artists and community members with an interest in the visual arts will also participate.

The Oct. 10 event is free and open to the public.

The exhibit itself – “The Triennial: The Best of the Visual Arts from Fond Du Lac, Outagamie, and Winnebago Counties” — will also open at 217 N. Main St., Oshkosh, on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It reopens Saturday evening for the October Gallery Walk from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. And the exhibit again opens Sunday, Oct. 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with regular hours through October 13.
