University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Chancellor Richard H. Wells has announced that Provost Lane Earns, who spent the last year as interim Chancellor at UW-Parkside, will return to campus this summer.

“After providing outstanding leadership service to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, I am pleased to share with the campus community that Lane Earns plans to return to his role as Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs this summer,” he said.

“To that end, Provost Earns announced earlier today that he is not pursuing the position of permanent Chancellor at UW-Parkside.

“We look forward to Lane’s return to campus this summer.”
