Despite the current economic downturn, more than 150 colleges and universities from across the country will send representatives to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh to find candidates for vacant positions.

For the 30th year running, the UW Oshkosh’s Department of Residence Life will host the Oshkosh Placement Exchange for those seeking employment in student housing, student activities, Greek life and other areas. The conference is scheduled for Feb. 26 to March 1 at Gruenhagen Conference Center, 208 Osceola Ave.

About 550 candidates already have registered.

“For the past 29 years, the Oshkosh Placement Exchange has provided an efficient means for Residence Life employers to meet and interview candidates from around the country,” said Marc Nylen, Gruenhagen Conference Center director. “Most employers interview for entry-level and/or graduate assistant residence hall positions; however, some post-master’s degree positions also are listed.”
