The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Alumni Association is seeking nominations for successful graduates for two top awards—the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

Nominations are due Wednesday, March 28.

“The Alumni Awards dinner is a signature event at our Homecoming weekend each October. It is important to celebrate our graduates’ achievements as a campus community,” said UWO Alumni Board President Steve Buss ’86. “In recognizing outstanding individuals with these awards, we are able to highlight the quality of the University’s more than 80,000 graduates worldwide.”

The Distinguished Alumni Award, the highest award that alumni can receive from the association, is awarded to individuals who are active in their professional fields and are widely recognized for their career accomplishments.

The Outstanding Young Alumni Award, honoring alumni who have graduated within the last 15 years, is given to graduates based on professional and civic accomplishments and future promise.

Award recipients will be honored in October in conjunction with Homecoming 2012 activities.
