The Provost and Vice Chancellor’s Office has appointed members of UW Oshkosh staff and faculty to an ad-hoc task force to review the undergraduate research activities on campus and to develop recommendations for strengthening and expanding them. The inaugural meeting was held Nov. 20.
The task force will:
- Review the Student/Faculty Collaborative Research programs, with an eye toward a new process for reviewing proposals and making awards;
- Inventory existing campus undergraduate research activities in order to establish a baseline for planning and growth;
- Explore programs at peer institutions to inform vision and goal-setting; and
- Investigate financial resources needed for undergraduate research programs.
