Area youth 14 and younger will receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket for Titan basketball games Jan. 10.

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will host UW-Superior at 1 p.m. (men’s) and 3 p.m. (women’s) at the Kolf Sports Center, 785 High Ave.

The event is one of more than 700 games that will be played across the nation as part of the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Take A Kid to the Game (TAKG) program, a grassroots initiative that encourages adults to take children to area college basketball games.

“We are thrilled to invite area youth to our campus and have them help as we cheer on the Titans to victory. It is our hope that adults in the community will bring their children out to experience a collegiate athletic event at UW Oshkosh,” said Al Ackerman, the University’s athletic director.

Tickets can be purchased at the UW Oshkosh ticket office starting Jan. 5. For more information, visit www.titans.uwosh.edu.
