The following Class Notes were received recently in the UW Oshkosh Alumni Office.

’74 Oscar Kraus (B) received the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac’s 2008 Distinguished Alumni Award.  He started working at St. Agnes Hospital in 1974 and retired as the hospital’s controller in 1998. 11-1-08

’77 Mary (Rippl) Kerrigan (N) was appointed to the Moraine Park Technical College District Board as an employer member. 11-1-08

’79 Jeffrey Seering (B) recently placed fifth in the Appleton Powerwalk. More than 400 people entered the 13.1 mile competitive and non-competitive powerwalk. 11-1-08.

’80 Terence Bouressa (LS) joined Stellpflug Law, S.C. as a partner in July 2008. He received his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1983. 11-1-08

’80 Ajaykant Ruia MBA is the CEO of General Data P. Ltd. in Mumbai, India. 11-1-08

’81 Victoria Faber (EHS) is serving as the principal at St. Mary’s School in Richland Center. 11-1-08

’83 Michael Hert (EHS) and ’85 MSE has been deployed to Afghanistan to support the missions of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is a civil affairs officer in the Army Reserve with over 24 years of military service. 11-1-08

’84 Ann (Buechel) Haack (EHS) and ’88 MSE is the new superintendent of the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah School District.

’85 Donald Becker (LS) was elected to serve on the Rogers Memorial Hospital Board in Oconomowoc. He also serves as chairman of their Foundation Board. 11-1-08

’85 Matthew Weber (LS) and ’87 MS was selected as the September 2008 recipient of the UW-Rock County Foundation’s Alumni Awareness Award. He is the vice president/general manager of the Controls Technologies Division of SSI Technologies. 11-1-08

’87 Todd Teske (B) is the president and chief operating officer of Briggs & Stratton Corporation. 11-1-08

’91  Margaret (Peggy) Mand (B) is mother to Taylor Ann Steele.  Born 10 weeks early,  she weighed 3lbs 7ozs and 16.5″ long.  11-1-08

’91 Michael Schmidt MBA is marketing director for First National Bank-Fox Valley. 11-1-08

’92 Scott Payne (B) was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps.  He is serving at U.S. Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. 11-1-08

’94 Brian Binder (LS) was an extra for the upcoming movie, “Public Enemy” starring Johnny Depp. 11-1-08

’94 Jason Fox (EHS) and ’96 (LS) was promoted to editor of Berlin Journal Newspapers. He resides in Winneconne with his wife, Tammie, and their four children. 11-1-08

’94 Jeffrey Reddick (LS) was inducted into Mukwonago High School’s Athletic Hall of Fame in September 2008. While attending UW Oshkosh, he was a track and field team captain and received all-conference honors. 11-1-08

’95 Elizabeth (Norin) Whalley (LS) and ’98 MSE received the Advising Excellence Award from the Wisconsin Academic Advising Association. She is an associate director of academic advising at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. 11-1-08

’96 Barbara Grant MPA was chosen as the village of Wind Point’s first administrator. 11-1-08

’97 Lisa Bensen MBA is the president and co-owner of Ledgeview Partners, a Microsoft program consultant. 11-1-08

’97 James Mielke MPA is the first administrator for Dodge County. 11-1-08

’98 Timothy Farber (LS) and wife Dana welcomed their daughter, Mallory, on September 22, 2008. She joins big sisters Sydney, 6, and Karley, 3. 11-1-08

’98 Peter Zellmer (LS) and ’00 MS received a Doctor of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, Ariz. 11-1-08

’01 Paul Behnke (LS) was promoted to senior financial advisor for M&I Wealth Management in Ripon. 11-1-08

’01 Benjamin Larson (LS) is in his second season as play-by-play announcer for all of the Madison Mallards’ baseball games for Madison Sports Radio. 11-1-08

’02 Corey Baumgartner (EHS) and ’05 MS is the new athletic director for Kaukauna High School. 11-1-08

’02 Alisa Garbisch (EHS) is the assistant director of education and development in residence life and services at Missouri State University.  11-1-08

’02 Heather (Larmay) Wichman (LS) is completing her radiology residency at Loyola University Medical Center. She plans to begin the interventional radiology fellowship in 2011. 11-1-08

’03 Kathy Finch (LS) is the business director of  client operations in the healthcare division at West Business Services in Appleton.  11-1-08

’04 Eryn (Corning) Hatchell (EHS) and husband, Ryan, welcomed a son, Owen Michael, on March 7, 2008.  11-1-08

’05 Stacey (Boehnlein) Tauber (LS) and ’07 Nathan Tauber (LS) were married on August 9, 2008. Nathan is a graduate student at the UW Oshkosh, working toward his master’s in mathematics education. Stacey is a Catalog Design Technician at J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc.. 11-1-08

’06  Erik Cieslewicz (LS) was the principle photographer and solo video editor working with reporter/producer Mikel Lauber for WSAW-TV’s investigative series,  “Secrets in Shawano” that received an Emmy nomination for “Best Outstanding Achievement Within a Regularly Scheduled News Program – Investigative Series”. 11-1-08

’06 Julie (Herzig) Sommerfeldt (N) and ’07 David Sommerfeldt (B) were married on August 30, 2008. Julie is an RN in labor and delivery at Aurora BayCare in Green Bay. 11-1-08

’07 Joseph Kuehn (B) is a mentor for Connections Counseling on UW-Madison’s campus that plans activities for college students who want to stay sober. 11-1-08

’08 Lindsey Anderson-Kruchoski (EHS) is employed by the Kiel Area Board of Education as the Kiel Middle School cross-categorical special education teacher. 11-1-08

’08 Dana Hansen (EHS) teaches seventh grade mathematics and language arts for the Kiel Area School District. 11-1-08

’08 Nicholas Rogge (LS) has opened his own business, Nickerbocker Framing and Gallery, located in downtown Oshkosh.  11-1-08

’08 Trina Woiak (LS) is in the Peace Corps serving in Morocco for two years.
