The following Class Notes were received recently in the UW Oshkosh Alumni Office:

’66 Roger Korinek (EHS) is celebrating his 45th year as a history teacher for St. Mary’s Springs Academy High School in Fond du Lac. Over the years, he has led trips to the nation’s Capitol, organized an annual magazine sale as a fundraiser, moderated the student council and helped coach every sport at the school.

’70 Carey Venne (EHS) is the new head football coach at Waukesha North High School. He lives in Muskego with his wife, Joy.

’75 Gary Busha (LS) is an adjunct professor in communications at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha.

’76 Bernard Hollnagel (B) retired from Oshkosh Corporation, where he worked as a global commodity manager in the purchasing department for more than 30 years.

’78 Rosemary Eiden (LS) is an artist and has recently entered a few local and national art competitions. She enjoys perennial and vegetable gardening in the summer at her home in Oshkosh, where she lives with her husband, Peter.

’78 Selene Finch (EHS) and ’84 (MS), a faculty member at the University of Phoenix in Appleton, has published her dissertation study entitled “A Qualitative Phenomenological Analysis of Modern Communication: Instant Messaging’s Importance for Adolescent and Young Adults.”

’79 Wendy Lewis (LS), senior vice president of Diversity and Strategic Alliances for Major League Baseball, was a recipient of the 2011 Wise Women of the Year Award, where she was recognized by Women in Sports & Events as a professional and influential woman in the sports industry.

’85 Scott Schroder (LS), an attorney from Janesville, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Wisconsin Association for Justice for a two-year term.

’95 Jill (Anderson) Harp (LS) is a real estate specialist for Omnni Associates Inc. in Appleton. She is a licensed appraiser and a member of the International Right-of-Way Association.

’95 Aaron Vanden Heuvel (B) leads the Information Technology Department of the Oshkosh Area School District as a network engineer.

’96 Joelle (Jensen) Fellinger (N) is a board-certified clinical nurse specialist in adult psychiatric and mental health nursing for ThedaCare Behavioral Health in Menasha.

’97 Carly (Amo) Dobson (LS) is the president for the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce. She works as a front-end supervisor at Walmart and lives in Black River Falls with her husband Duane.

’98 Nicole (Korb) Egnarski (N) is the staff development coordinator at the Shawano Medical Center, where she specializes in nursing education and medical and surgical nursing and orthopedics. She lives in Pulaski with her husband and two children.

’98 Jessica King (LS) was a finalist for the American Bar Association – Young Lawyers Division (ABA YLD) National Outstanding Young Lawyer Award. She is the sole shareholder of Compass Law, S.C. in Oshkosh, where she represents consumers and small businesses.

’99 Susan Roland Antoinette (EHS) married Paul Antoinette on June 27, 2010, on Rock Island. They live in Colorado Springs, where Susan works as a special education teacher.

01 Tabatha Frerks (MBA) lives in Plover, where she runs her own general contracting company, T. Frerks Construction.

’03 Jacob DeMelle (LS) is a certified physician assistant for the Ministry Medical Group clinic in Tomahawk.

’04 Jennifer (Chitwood) Anfinson (LS) is a sergeant for the Horicon Police Department.

’04 Derek Eddy (B), the assistant vice-president of national outreach and partnerships for Wells Fargo in Milwaukee, travels around the country working with nonprofit partners to help struggling homeowners maintain ownership.

’04 Laura (Tietyen) Molitor (EHS) and her husband, Jason, welcomed their daughter, Olivia Grace, in August 2010.

’07 Milissa (Boice) Kloida (LS) is a semifinalist for “Star Auditions,” a contest held by Green Bay’s CW-14 that will be awarding the winner a one-year contract as a reporter for the station. She lives in Freedom with her husband, D.J.

’07 Seth Merrill (LS) is a group sales representative for the front office of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, a minor league baseball team located in Appleton.

’08 Joshua Poppe (B) and ’09 Ranah (Voss) Poppe (LS) married in August 2010. They live in Kansas City, Mo. Ranah works as a web designer and email marketer for Adknowledge.

’08 Trisha Smith (EHS) is a second-grade teacher in the Pewaukee School District. She is engaged to be married on July 30, 2011.

’10 Gerald Kawuatosh (LS) was accepted to participate in the Native American Political Leadership Program at George Washington University in Washington D.C. He also is completing a professional internship with U.S. Representative Benjamin Lujan.

’11 Ashley Romenesko (B) is a human resources representative for Oshkosh Corporation. She is considering pursuing her master’s degree, starting infall 2011.
