’57 John Enigl (EHS), of Egg Harbor, spends much of his free time collecting and working on radios. He currently has more than 450. 8-1-08.

’60 Alan McCain (LS) was recently honored with the Andover Newton Theological School’s Distinguished Alumni award, “The Spirit of the Hill”. He lives in Turkey. 8-1-08.

’64 Joyce (Jochmann) Mastalir (EHS) is retiring after 31 years of teaching at St. Mary’s Grade School in Burlington, Wis. 8-1-08.

’67 John Benkers (LS) recently retired as school superintendent of Belmont Community Schools in Belmont, Wis. 8-1-08.

’68 Dianne (Sippel) Reese (LS) is the new mayor of New Holstein, Wis. 8-1-08.

’69 Bonnie (Jirovetz) Frechette (EHS) retired after nearly 40 years of teaching English at West De Pere High School. 8-1-08.

’71 David Dralle (LS) of Auburn, N.Y., is retiring after 32 years as a biologist with the federal government. 8-1-08.

’76 David Wilfert (B) and his wife, Terri, hosted a combined Wisconsin Berry Growers Association and fresh-market vegetable field day in May at their farm in Manitowoc County. 8-1-08.

’78 John Bergin (MBA) of Wisconsin Rapids was awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship Award, one of the Rotary Club’s highest honors. 8-1-08.

’79 Steve Mischka (N), and ’90 MSN, is a family nurse practitioner with Monroe Clinic-Brodhead. 8-1-08.

’80 Francesco “Rocky” Vitale (EHS) is the director of softball and baseball at Diamond for Excellence, a public school academy in British Columbia, Canada. 8-1-08.

’82 Col. Brian Haebig (LS) assumed command of the 404th Army Field Support Brigade (U.S. Army) at Fort Lewis, Wash. Its mission is to provide Army units in the western United States and the Pacific a single commander to assist them in integrating and synchronizing acquisition, logistics and technology to prepare them for war and reset them when they return. 8-1-08.

’84 Judy (Palubicki) Schenk (EHS) and ’94 MSE has been named principal of Seymour Middle School. 8-1-08.

’86 Pollyanna St. Louis-Mariades (LS) of Bosque, N.M. will finish graduate school in December with a master’s in education – special education emphasis. 8-1-08.

’88 Ralph Berge, Jr. (LS) is the senior vice president of production for CBS-Paramount TV overseeing the physical production of TV shows like “NCIS” and “Medium.” He recently vacationed in his hometown of Reedsville, Wis., where he spent time helping with his family’s business, Whitelaw Sausage, during Wienerfest 2008. 8-1-08.

’90 Patricia (Zietlow) Miller (LS) and ’00 MS of Fitchburg received a letter of commendation in the 2008 Barbara Karlin Grant competition for picture book writing, sponsored by the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. 8-1-08.

’90 Paul Schaefer (B) was hired by TIAA-CREF as a wealth manager in Little Rock, Ark. 8-1-08.

’91 John Kaftan (LS) of Syracuse, N.Y., his wife, Perrin, and their two children welcomed twins last year. John is a network engineer at Utica College. 8-1-08.

’92 Alan Christian (LS) recently received tenure and a promotion to Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at Arkansas State University. He is busy working with a $2.3 million grant from the National Science Foundation for environmental and molecular biosciences. 8-1-08.

’93 Ann Meyers (EHS), of Fond du Lac, is an agricultural ambassador, sharing the story of Wisconsin’s farming industry with children. 8-1-08.

’95 Kevin Behnke (B) of Collins recently accepted the chairmanship of the Governmental Services Group for Hawkins, Ash, Baptie & Company. 8-1-08.

’95 Michelle (Kuhn) Clark (LS), of the Los Angeles area, and husband, Jeff, welcomed their first child, Andrew Leal Clark, on June 13, 2008. 8-1-08.

’95 Craig Wenorf (LS), an associate professor of psychology at UW-Stevens Point, was honored with the school’s Excellence in Teaching Award. 8-1-08.

’96 Angela Chadwick (LS) graduated with honors from the American Military University in Virginia. She currently lives in Maryland and works for the Department of Defense as a senior analyst. 8-1-08.

’96 Bradley Heutmaker (LS), of Maricopa, Ariz., finished his first marathon in San Diego on June 1. Over the past two years, he and his wife, Ivette, lost 75 pounds. Their story will be featured in a national fitness magazine, “Experience Life”. 8-1-08.

’98 Scott Gurholt (LS) is the new marketing director for Riley Construction Company, Inc., based in Kenosha. 8-1-08.

’98 Jeff Sobieski (LS), of Muskego, has been appointed chief operating officer of Telkonet, the leading provider of innovative, centrally-managed solutions for integrated energy management, networking, building automation and proactive support services.

’99 Jason Schreiber (EHS) is the new principal at Meadow View in Oconomowoc. 8-1-08.

’00 Danae (Lyons) Deppiesse (EHS), of Oshkosh, and her husband, Will, had a daughter, Kiara Lillian, on January 24, 2008. 8-1-08.

’00 Matthew Dillenburg (B) and his wife, Judy, welcomed their second child, Katelyn Julia, on March 18, 2008. Matthew was recently promoted to senior application engineer at Thrivent Financial in Appleton. 8-1-08.

’02 Roberta (Keup) Bruhn (MS) received her doctorate in epidemiology from the University of Arizona on May 17, 2008. 8-1-08.

’02 Sara Fugarino (LS), of Saint Paul, Minn., welcomed a daughter, Lola, on October 26, 2007. She is also pursuing a doctorate in culture and teaching at the University of Minnesota. 8-1-08.

’02 Lisa (Hahn) Speidel (LS), of Clinton, graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin with a degree in family medicine and obstetrics. She also received the Dr. Victoria A. Vollrath Award in family medicine. 8-1-08.

’03 Steve Behnke (LS), of Los Angeles, Calif., took home top honors at the 2008 Telly Awards for his TLC Discovery Communications, Inc. co-branded promo campaign for “Jon & Kate Plus 8/Horton Hears a Who.” In 2007, he won two bronze awards and the Promax World Gold Award, one of the highest honors in the promotions field. 8-1-08.

’03 Jeffrey Meyers (MBA), of Plover, Wis. has joined WoodTrust Bank, N.A. as vice president-commercial lending. 8-1-08.

’03 John Muraski (MBA) co-founded a management consulting company that now numbers nearly 30 consultants. He was also selected by Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce as one of the “25 People You Should Know” in late 2007. 8-1-08.

’04 Adam Ault (B) is an equity analyst with the State of Wisconsin Investment Board. He was recently engaged to Sandra LeCloux ’04 (EHS). 8-1-08.

’04 Annie (Wegenke) Groenewold (EHS) received her master’s in education from UW-Stevens Point and is an elementary school teacher for the Westfield School District. 8-1-08.

’04 Jennifer (Williams) Miller (LS) recently received her doctoral degree in audiology from UW-Stevens Point. She is a doctor of audiology at Greater Milwaukee Otolaryngology, where she did her externship. 8-1-08.

’06 Erik Cieslewicz (LS), of Wausau, received two Associated Press Awards and a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Award for his work as both a photographer and editor. He is a photojournalist for WSAW News Channel 7. 8-1-08.

’06 Alisha Cornford (LS), of Woodbury, Minn. is a supply chain analyst for 3M’s business and commercial services division. 8-1-08.

’06 Laura (Manne) Fischer (LS) married her high school sweetheart, Greg Fischer, on April 19, 2008 in Oconomowoc. 8-1-08.

’06 Gabriel Graf (LS), formerly of Algoma, was recently awarded a master’s degree in geology by the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Now living in Nevada, he is an underground mine geologist Newmont Mining Corp. 8-1-08.

’06 Ashley Hatley (EHS) and Pete Caruso, Jr. ’07 (LS) will be married in August. Ashley is executive director of the Black Point Historic Preserve, a museum in Lake Geneva. 8-1-08

’06 Audrey (Baader) Traun (LS), of Kellogg, Minn., married Sam Traun on June 7, 2008. They have a son, Charlie Joseph Traun, born on October 11, 2007. 8-1-08.

’07 Carl Birkholz (LS) was recently promoted from sales associate to store manager of WG&R Sleepshop in Germantown. 8-1-08.

’07 Marisa Cuellar (LS), of Oak Creek, begins a degree program at Marquette University Law School this fall. 8-1-08.

’08 Ryan Barkow (LS) and Emily Preissner (LS) ’08 plan to marry in October 2009. They met at UW Oshkosh during their freshman year. 8-1-08.

’08 Cindy Griswold (MSN) has joined ThedaCare Physicians in Clintonville as advanced practice nurse practitioner. 8-1-08.
