UW Oshkosh has partnered with Google to provide students, faculty and staff with the web-based email, calendar and document collaboration suite known as Google Apps for Education.
Core Titan Apps Suite (Google Apps)
The core Titan Apps suite apps are provided to UW Oshkosh under a contract with Google. This means that in the core Titan Apps suite apps your data is owned by you or UW Oshkosh, your data will not be 'mined' and you will not be shown ads.

Additional Titan Apps (Google Apps)
In addition to the apps listed above, you have access to sign and use several commercial Google Apps using your @uwosh.edu account. While Google allows access to these commercial apps through your UW Oshkosh (@uwosh.edu) Google Apps account, these Additional Apps are not covered by the contract that UW Oshkosh has established with Google. You may be asked to accept new Consumer Terms of Service from Google before using these applications. Regardless of whether you are asked to accept the Consumer Terms of Service for each app that you access, please be aware that you as an individual consumer, not UW Oshkosh, are accepting Google's Consumer Terms of Service whenever you use an additional app.
Understanding use of Additional Apps:
- Access to content is tied to your @uwosh.edu email address. When you lose access to that account, you lose access to the data in the Additional Apps. UW Oshkosh IT has no way to transfer the content to your personal account.
- UW Oshkosh IT does not officially support Additional Apps. You can find help resources online at Google's websites.
- Google's Consumer Terms of Service state that they (Google) own the content you store in the Additional Apps. This means that when you graduate/leave UW Oshkosh and our IT department deletes your @uwosh.edu account, Google may at their option retain your Blog, or Google+ posts indefinitely.
- Google may show you ads in the Additional Apps.
Additional Apps (Currently Active):
Google+ - enables social networking, friend circles, and multiway video chat and live document collaboration features
Blogger - create your own blog for your class or research
Analytics - collect information about who visits your website
Chrome Web Store - add apps to the Chrome web browser or Chromebook
Lucidchart - produce and share flowcharts, diagrams, floor plans, website wireframes and more
By default, Additional Apps are de-activated on the @uwosh.edu domain for the privacy and protection of our students and staff. Where there is an academic or business case to be made for activation, IT accepts requests and recommendations to review activation requests for Additional Google Apps via the Helpdesk. Call 424-3020 or email@example.com to submit your request. We will follow up with you for additional information during the review process.
