What is Theta Chi all about?
You'll have excellent scholastic resource available to help you achieve your goals.
You'll learn important leadership skills and get a chance to practice them a number of different ways.
You'll be encouraged to get involved on campus in other clubs and organizations.
You'll have a chance to participate in intramural sports, homecoming events, exchanges with sororities, other fraternities, and much, much more.
You'll have the opportunity to give back to the Fox Valley and Oshkosh community through philanthropy and volunteerism.
You'll be exposed to career opportunities through interaction with alumni and brothers from around the country and world.
You'll have a supportive group of friends during college and beyond.
 
What is Rush About?
Rush is simply making friends.
Rush is organized recruitment Which is usually in the beginning of the semesters. Recruitment is 365 days a year.
Rush is showing the benefits of Theta Chi Fraternity both locally and nationally.
Rush is selling your ideas and experiences about brotherhood.
Rush is new members checking us out, and us checking out new members - men who will become our fraternity brothers; some of your closest friends in college, and friends throughout life.
Rush is good P.R. (Public Relations), getting to meet people.
Rush is showing people the benefits Theta Chi Fraternity will offer them. Whether they join or not, they will know Theta Chi is a leader on campus.
 

Will Theta Chi help me in School?
Academic success is our first priority at Theta Chi. The maxim of Theta Chi is "Alma Mater first and Theta Chi for Alma Mater." This is the exact reason we came to UW-Oshkosh.

At Theta Chi, brothers understand the high importance of scholastic excellence.
Our academic program includes study hours and a minimum GPA of 2.5. This program is intended to help the brothers of Theta Chi achieve great success in college. Dedication to scholastic success is a reflection of the beliefs of all Theta Chi brothers and is fundamental to the success of the fraternity.

Fraternities are here to aid in your academic success. It's purpose is to develop among its members high academic standards. About 50 percent of university students actually graduate, among the Greek community, 75 percent graduate. Another great reason to join a fraternity.
 
What is Brotherhood all about?
Brotherhood is the foundation of Theta Chi. This bond makes our fraternity a home away from home. Our brotherhood is based on true friendship and expression of individuality.

We take great pride in our diversity. We believe every brother enriches the fraternity with his individual qualities and talents. And what makes Theta Chi so special is the friendship between diverse individuals. These friendships last for a lifetime. We rely on each other, we help each other, and we respect each other. That is what Theta Chi brotherhood is all about.

Our brotherhood does not exist because we look alike, have the same beliefs, or come from the same places. It comes from the fact that the brothers of Theta Chi are friends and individuals FIRST AND FOREMOST.
 
Does Theta Chi Haze?
Hazing is defined as:
"Any action taken or situation created, intentionally, whether on or off fraternity premises, to produce mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, harassment, or ridicule. Such activities may include but are not limited to the following: use of alcohol; paddling in any form; creation of excessive fatigue; physical and psychological shocks; quests, treasure hunts, scavenger hunts, road trips or any other such activities carried on outside or inside of the confines of the chapter house; wearing of public apparel which is conspicuous and not normally in good taste; engaging in public stunts and buffoonery; morally degrading or humiliating games and activities; and any other activities which are not consistent with academic achievement, fraternal law, ritual or policy or the regulations and policies of the educational institution or applicable state law."

So, Does Theta Chi Haze?
Theta Chi DOES NOT "haze" its members or perspective members. Hazing can be defined as any act that forces or attempts to force a prospective member of a fraternity do something that is degrading and/or dangerous. At Theta Chi we don't understand why some fraternities would want to degrade and put down someone who they are asking to be a part of their "brotherhood." The members of Theta Chi want everyone to know that it is not alright to haze, and that no hazing will be tolerated by its members. We want our new members to like us, and want to be our brother, not have anger towards the older members for treating them with disrespect.
