Considered to be the most famous play of modern theatre, this story of memory is brought to life through the eyes of Tom Wingfield. Tom escapes through alcohol and the movies, Amanda lives in her past, and Laura escapes through music and her collection of glass figurines. Laura’s physical handicap is intensified by her mother’s on-going attempts to find her a husband. Amanda pressures Tom to invite home a possible suitor for her daughter and, for a brief moment, Laura forgets about her handicap while in the company of Jim, the gentleman caller. She quickly is confronted by reality when he tells her that he is engaged to another women. Join us for this classic Tennessee Williams story of hope and redemption.
