Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) General Test and Subject Tests are taken by individuals applying to graduate programs in natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, business, humanities and arts, education, and other fields. For more information, visit www.ets.org/gre.

Candidates will want to visit the GRE website to view the most current and complete information.

 

Cost

The current cost of the General Test is $185.00 (subject to change without notice). If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must call the National Registration Center at least three business days prior to your scheduled appointment.

  • Reschedule fee $50.
  • Refund $70.

  • Web: Go online and create a My GRE Account at www.ets.org/mygre.
  • Phone: Prometric Services at 1 (443) 751-4820 or 1 (800) 473-2255
  • Mail: Visit the GRE website to Download Authorization Voucher Request Form and follow instructions.

 

Test Preparation

Free download POWERPREP software at www.ets.org/gre/prepare.

UW Oshkosh students are encouraged to check with the Reading Study Center for study guides, workshops and individual appointments. For more information, visit www.uwosh.edu/readingstudycenter, call (920) 424-1031 or stop by Nursing/ Education 201.

 

Identification

U.S. Citizens: One valid form of government ID (NOT EXPIRED) (driver's license).

Non-U.S. Citizens: Valid Passport (please see GRE web site for detailed information).

 

Parking

For your convenience we have five spaces in Lot 34 (Elmwood Avenue), which are reserved spaces for clients of Testing Services. A $2 permit is required (may be purchased at the Information Booth in Lot 15 or Polk Library, Room 3B).

Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to appointment.
