Grant funds for Students

In the past, the Sustainability Office had a budget for small grants to encourage innovation and implementation of projects that would further the goals set out in our Campus Sustainability Plan. We provided eligible students, faculty and staff up to $500 for projects and supplies to improve operations, teaching, research or outreach. Since 2015 we have a Student Green Fund instead. $60,000 (~$3/student/semester) is pooled from segregated fees to provide opportunities for students to create a legacy of sustainability on campus through building infrastructure, upgrading and efficiency measures, educational campaigns, innovation and technology pursuits, guest lectures, and more. The Green Fund is meant to empower students with the financial means to use their education to be bold champions for sustainability in their community.
