Current focus of the Director of Campus Sustainability
Among other duties, in spring 2009 the Director is focusing on
- making the office of sustainability and the Director more recognized on campus;
- pursuing grants, especially for student interns, who could help with the many tasks of campus sustainability;
- being involved in the marketing campaign about sustainability;
- working with Steve Arndt on the university’s climate plan;
- working on bringing a new biofuel facility onto campus;
- assisting with assessment tools for campus sustainability;
- working with student groups SEAC and Community Gardens;
- participating in the Campus Sustainability class;
- serving on the sustainability planning committee of the city of Oshkosh.
- getting trained in and taking over the sustainability website.
