Graduate Assistant. Graduate assistants perform a variety of important duties for Project Success including those of organizational tutors, supplemental instruction specialists, counselors, and testing/assessment assistants. Our graduate assistant for 2011-2012 is Amanda Eake. She is in the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Department of Professional Counseling master's program.
Tutoring staff. The student tutoring staff is the backbone of the Project Success program. Each year Project Success hires approximately 40-50 student tutors. All Project Success tutors must have strong academic skills. In addition, all language remediation tutors are required to take a three credit course. Many of the language remediation tutors are special education teachers in training. Each Project Success tutor generally works 5-10 hours per week and most remain with the program two or more years because of the excellent experience they receive as tutors.
