Pamela MacWilliams, RN, MSN, APNP, ANP-BC
Director, Student Health Center
MacWilliams received her diploma in nursing from Fairview Deaconess School of Nursing in Minneapolis, Minn. and her undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She is a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and has over 29 years of nursing experience. She has worked as the director at the Student Health Center since 2009.
Shawn Ekstrom, M.D.
Dr. Ekstrom graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with an emphasis in biomedical science from Montana State University as a non-traditional student. She completed medical school from the School of Medicine at University of Washington in Seattle and her residency program through the University of Wisconsin at Wausau Family Practice. She has worked in Berlin, Wis. for the past 16 years doing full-scope family care including comprehensive clinic practice, hospital admissions and delivering babies.
Jeffrey Junig, M.D.
Dr. Junig received his undergraduate degree from Carroll College. He graduated from the School of Medicine at University of Rochester and completed his psychiatry residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Junig is a board certified psychiatrist and has over four years of experience. He has worked as a physician at the Student Health Center since 2010.
Ryan Hermus, RN, MSN, APNP
Hermus received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Bellin College in Green Bay and his graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. He is a board certified family nurse practitioner and has been with the Student Health Center for one year. He has over five years of experience in the health care field.
Gwen Steffen, RN, MSN, APNP
Steffen received her undergraduate degree in social work and psychology from the University of Wisconsin Madison and her undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She is a certified family nurse practitioner and has over 30 years of experience in nursing. She has worked at the Student Health Center as an NP since 1997.
Sally Andersen, RN, MSN, APNP
Penny Howell, RN
Howell received her diploma in nursing from Shadyside Hospital Nursing School in Pittsburgh. She has over 35 years of experience in nursing and has worked for the Student Health Center since 1983.
Paula Hayford, MT (ASCP)
Hayford received her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from UW Milwaukee and her Master of Science in Training and Development from UW Stout. She has worked at the Student Health Center since 1983.
Sue Fahrenkrug, MT (ASCP)
Having graduated from UW Oshkosh in 1985 with a medical technology degree, Fahrenkrug has been with the Student Health Center since January 2013.
Jenny Shufelt, MS
Health Promotion Coordinator
Shufelt graduated from UW Stevens Point with Bachelors in health promotion in 2005. She upheld positions in corporate health promotion and campus recreation before finding her niche in higher education. She finished her M.S. in Counseling from the University of Wyoming in 2013 and is excited to put her passion for student wellness into action for UW Oshkosh. Shufelt enjoys staying active with her family of three, soon to be four, and appreciates all the outdoor activities Wisconsin has to offer.
Kathy Ludwig, LPN
Licensed Practical Nurse
Ludwig received her LPN degree from Fox Valley Technical College. She has been in the Student Health Center since 1998.
Loreen Demler, LPN
Licensed Practical Nurse
Demler received her LPN diploma from Fox Valley Technical College and has been employed at the Student Health Center since 1996.
Tiffany Ruth, CMA
Ruth received her medical assistant certification from Fox Valley Technical College in 2006. She is currently working on her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UW Oshkosh and has been at the Student Health Center since 2010.
Medical Program Assistant (Medical Records)
Scholfield has worked in the Student Health Center since 2005. She has been involved with the medical business office environment for over 18 years.
Anne M. Murphy, MSE
Murphy received her B.S. in Organizational Administration and M.S. in Education from UW Oshkosh. She started in the Student Health Center in July 2013.
