Health and Wellness

At UW Oshkosh, the health and wellness of our students is a top priority. We pride ourselves on providing quality programs and services to ensure you are physically, mentally and emotionally healthy. A key student investment, the University’s Student Recreation and Wellness Center offers unlimited options for students to stay fit and healthy.

A centrally located Student Health Center provides convenient, affordable healthcare, including consultations, immunizations, lab work and minor procedures. For emergency care or major procedures, students can visit one of Oshkosh’s two hospitals, Mercy Medical Center or Aurora Medical Center. For students who do not have insurance, the UW System offers a quality, comprehensive healthcare plan.

At UW Oshkosh, student vision and support lead to the creation of a state-of-the-art Student Recreation and Wellness Center. This newly constructed facility features multiple basketball and volleyball courts, an indoor soccer court, more than 80 cardio exercise machines, a jogging/walking track, a climbing wall, Cyber Café, aerobic studios, and many free-standing and machine weights. Group exercise classes, wellness programs, massage therapy and student-centered day or weekend trips are also available. Students have free access to this facility due to segregated University fees.

In addition to the SRWC, students have access to Albee Hall and outdoor tennis and basketball courts. Albee Hall is the home to several racquetball courts and an indoor pool, which provides open swim and water aerobics classes.

To assist with emotional wellness, the University’s Counseling Center is dedicated to helping students become more effective in their academic, professional and personal lives. The knowledgeable and caring staff can help students address whatever issues they may be facing.
