Grants and Professional Development
The College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) offers many professional development opportunities for currently licensed teachers.
An affiliate of the National Writing Project, the Fox Valley Writing Project is a proven, professional program for
kindergarten through post-secondary teachers. This innovative effort between UW Oshkosh College of Education and Human Services and area school districts brings teachers together to share strategies for teaching writing and improving their personal writing skills.
Offered through the Additional Teaching Licenses Office, this individually tailored program helps currently licensed teachers obtain additional teaching licenses in other subject areas.
Project ESTRELLA is a 5-year federal grant (2012-2017) designed to provide professional development for those teachers who work with English language learners.
Closing the Math Achievement Gap (CMAG)
The purpose of the CMAG Project is to increase the mathematics achievement of special needs Native American students.
