Dr. Samuel Johnson
Description
This film examines the life of Samuel Johnson, a man who is better known for what was written about him than his own writings. Born in Lichfield, Johnson overcame several obstacles as a child: scrofula, being deaf in one ear, poverty, scarred, and almost blind and created the first comprehensive English Dictionary as well as plays, essays and poems.
