Blood Sweat And Magic. Theaterland
Description
This eight-part documentary series goes back stage to cover six months in the life of London's Theater Royal Haymarket from all angles, including artistic director Sean Mathias' debut season and the lead up to the first ever staging of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" based on Truman Capote's novel and starring Anna Friel and Joseph Cross. The eighth episode starts two weeks from the first public performance. Theater technicians rush to assemble the 82 piece set, actors work to perfect choreography for the physically demanding play, and Mathias tries to stay calm about the complex production. An actress learns to roller skate for her part and Jasper the cat practices his stage cues. Finally, preview night arrives; the show's success will depend on audience reception.
