George Herbert Walker Bush. Commander in Chief

Description

In 1990, Saddam Hussein ordered Iraqi troops to invade Kuwait. Arab powers asked the Western nations to intervene and the United Nations Security Council imposed sanctions. Hussein ignored the warnings and the U. N. demanded Hussein withdraw from Kuwait by mid-January. Hussein defied the order and in 1991, U.S. President George Bush ordered a massive air offensive. With excerpts from his journal and archival footage, follow President Bush through the decision making process that led to the Persian Gulf War.
