Their involvement in the Second World War spanned the humiliating defeat at Dunkirk, victory in the deserts of North Africa and finally saw resentment and revolt before D-Day. Episode 1 covers the Egypt Mission; Operation Crusader; the Battles of Sidi Rezegh, Gazala, Alam El Halfa and El Alamein; and the Axis defeat in North Africa.
