France. Soft Washed Rind Cheeses
Description
In this episode, host Will Studd explores the world of France's stinky cheeses. From the Vosges Mountains in Alsace, to the countryside of Normandy and the pretty village of Eoisse we get a look at four benchmark monastic cheeses. Munster, Pont l'Eveque, Livarot and Epoisse all have a long history, but until recently, they were threatened with extinction. Their growing resurgence is due largely to the vision and hard work of a few passionate dairy owners.
