Myringotomy with Tubes

Description

Myringotomy is a procedure in which a tiny incision is made in the eardrum to relieve pressure in the inner ear. Tubes are placed in the incision to keep the incision open and allow for continued drainage from the inner ear. This program features 3-D animations and clear descriptions to help patients gain a better understanding of the middle ear: why fluid builds up there, why infections should not go untreated, and details surrounding surgical procedure and recovery.
