The Rugged Northwest
Description
Join Iolo Williams on a fascinating tour of the spectacular scenery and wildlife of Wales. In this last of three episodes, filmed with stunning aerial and wildlife photography, Williams journeys the rugged northwest. Traversing dramatic coastlines and mountains, he finds wildlife relics from the last ice age set among the iconic scenery of Snowdonia. In one remarkable sequence, an osprey hunts over open water, while visitors at nearby Portmeirion sit unaware of the spectacle before them. At the largest conifer plantation in Wales, Williams searches for a very shy deer, and then ends his tour on the ancient Celtic island of Bardsey. Breathtaking and sublime.
