Type 2 Diabetes. New Hope, New Treatments
Description
Although type 2 diabetes is common, it is a very dangerous illness that puts people at risk for potentially life-threatening conditions like heart attacks and strokes. However, it is also a disease that can be relatively easy to manage. And research shows that, if patients bring their blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol under tight control, they can lower their risks. This program explores what makes people vulnerable to developing type 2 diabetes and shows what can be done to effectively treat it.
