Treating Insomnia. The Importance of Getting a Good Night's Sleep
Description
Most of us have had trouble getting to sleep once in a while, but for some people that "once in a while" is every night. They have insomnia, a common condition for which there are many types of treatment. Before sufferers can be effectively treated, however, they must bring their condition to the attention of a medical professional. This program educates viewers on how insomnia can make people gain weight, increase their risk for serious conditions like cardiovascular disease and diabetes, and negatively affect their relationships and overall quality of life. Experts believe that in most cases insomnia can be managed effectively. Internationally known sleep specialists - and patients whose lives have improved dramatically because they are now sleeping well - contribute to the program.
