The Extreme Sports Brain
Description
This video clip investigates why some people pursue adrenaline-producing activities. Meet Chuck Berry, a former aeronautical engineer and king of extreme sports in thrill-seeker epicenter Queenstown, New Zealand, as he muses on the balance between fear and fun. A forensic psychiatrist who studies the effect of stress on performance weighs in Berry's physiological resistance to anxiety, which he suggests comes at a high price.
