Description
This program from Investigative Reports looks at the phenomenon of the drug ecstasy. This "club drug" has been around since the 1980s, but exploded as a drug of choice at rave dance parties. We are granted behind-the-scenes access to U.S Customs investigations and listen as to interviews with ecstasy users as well as with medical personnel who detail the dangers of this drug. Labs in Amsterdam, small U.S. mom-and-pop manufacturers, and Israeli organized crime all have a hand in the new culture of ecstasy.
