Description
Scientists, engineers, and the U.S. Army teamed up to detonate the first man-made atomic explosion. The effort to create a nuclear weapon went in to high gear after the attack on Pearl Harbor. After the bombings in Japan, some scientists regretted the role they played in brining this weapon of mass destruction into existence.
