Battle of the Bulge
Description
Known as the Battle of the Bulge - after the initial German incursion into the Allies' line of advance as seen in contemporary maps - this German offensive in the winter of 1944-45 took place in the densely forested Ardennes mountain region of Belgium. This program uses a combination of CGI animation and soldiers' own accounts to tell the story and examines 60-year old aerial reconnaissance photographs that captured the carnage.
